The Global Liberal Arts Challenge by Jonathan Becker
The recent issue of Ethics & International Affairs, a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal published by Cambridge University Press on behalf of the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, featured an essay written by the president of AUCA, Jonathan Berker. In the essay, Jonathan Beker analyzes the role of U.S. institutions globally and suggests ways in which they can play more constructive roles.

AUCA is the first university in Central Asia to offer its students two diplomas simultaneously upon graduation: US accredited degrees in liberal arts programs through a partnership with Bard College in the United States  and Kyrgyz accredited degrees issued by The Ministry of Education and Science

Madina Ibraeva “I dreamed of being professional social researcher”
Madina Ibraeva is pursuing a master degree in sociology department at AUCA and was accepted at the University of Lille for an exchange period in the Fall Semester 2021 in the framework of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme.

US Embassy researcher Ryan Schmedding: "The air over Bishkek is slowly but improving"
On December 2, a guest lecture by Ryan Schmedding, a researcher at the US Embassy, was held in an online format, organized by the AUCA Center for Environmental Studies and Development (CED), the Alliance of Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic for Green Economy and Sustainable Development (AVZUR) together with the US Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.

CASI Literature Week: “Islamic Scholars, Wine-Soaked Romance, and Textual Genre: Culture and Contradiction in Central Asia", Nov 26, 18:00
Literature Week is a part of CASI’s Workshop on Literature and History. Supported by a generous contribution from Matthew Nimetz, the aim of the workshop is to create a community of junior scholars and advanced graduate students committed to studying literature and to applying literary tools and methodologies to the study of literary art in the Central Asian past.
