The mission of the B.A. program in Sociology is to create a student-centered learning environment in which faculty and students are engaged in critical social inquiry dedicated to understanding and addressing social problems and inequalities in global, institutional, and interpersonal social relations.
We are dedicated to expand, reflect, share, and apply social knowledge in its many forms. As teachers, we develop sociological imaginations and critical thinking in our students by providing them training on an array of social theories and methods, and by exposing them to a diversity of the subject areas in sociology and substantive educational experiences.
