About the Department

Why study with us?

Department of Psychology at the American University of Central Asia opens the doors to one of the most challenging and rewarding professional fields today. Our students learn the necessary skills to assist people in improving their mental health, managing human resources and organizations, running a business, and working in politics. Our graduates can apply their knowledge and skills to many different professional specializations like organizational behavior, counseling, public relations, social work, human resources, education, and much more.

What do we teach?

The psychology program in AUCA offers students a solid educational background in traditional science and liberal arts followed by more in-depth knowledge, skills, and expertise that are necessary for success in one of many specializations in psychology.

Where do graduates work?

Many graduates went to study for masters and doctoral programs in Psychology, Social Work, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Marriage/Family Therapy, Gender Studies, Business Administration, Film Industry and other fields at such universities as Indiana, CEU and Moscow State University, Graduates work in business and industry, international organizations, higher education, market and government policy research, banking, and consulting agencies.
