Thirteen AUCA students along with Kyrgyz and US-based professional instructors will be challenging themselves to a two-week hike through the Ala-Archa National Park next summer.

On October 29, 2015, 26 students from the Environmental Management and Sustainable Development (EMSD) program conducted field research to count radiation in the AUCA campus area. Vanessa Graf, one of the students on the trip, tells us about her experience.

The Central Asian Studies Institute hosted its Fourth Annual Conference on “The Eurasian Economic Union: political, economic and social aspects” on October 31 - November 1, 2015 at the new campus of AUCA.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Austria, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan from October 28 to November 3. In Bishkek, the Secretary will participate in the opening of the new campus of the American University of Central Asia and dedicate the new chancery of the U.S. Embassy.

Samatbek Osmonov, a junior majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Software Engineering at AUCA, spent his spring 2015 semester as an exchange student at the Hannam University in South Korea.

Begimai Sataeva is an alumna of the Journalism and Mass Communications Program class of 2015. At AUCA, Begimai worked with on several social initiatives, was a correspondent for several different international media agencies, and worked in the AUCA communications office. She is currently living in Warsaw, Poland, working as a journalist.

The Rome Model United Nations is being held in Rome from March 5th-8th, 2016. The conference is a great opportunity to gain international experience, broaden your professional network, and make new friends from every corner of the world. The central theme this year is “YOUTH AND FUTURE GLOBAL CHALLENGES”.
