Sustainable AUCA
Sustainable AUCA is a comprehensive initiative aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable practices within the campus community. It encompasses a wide range of initiatives and strategies to reduce the university's carbon footprint, conserve resources, and foster a culture of sustainability among students, faculty, and staff. The program focuses on areas such as energy efficiency, water conservation, sustainable transportation, and education and outreach. Through collaborative efforts, the university and AUCA Sustainability Task Force aims to create a greener and more sustainable campus environment while preparing students to become environmentally conscious and responsible global citizens. AUCA is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).

Dr. Aizhana Dzhumalieva Leads Central Asia's Health Agenda at ICRC 2024 Conference

Dr. Aizhana Dzhumalieva, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications, has been appointed representative of Central Asia to the Technical Committee of the World Health Organization (WHO). Her participation in the ICRCC 2024 conference reflects her desire to build professional ties and actively participate in the international dialogue on topical health issues.

The climate is changing. Are you?

 On March 28th, AUCA hosted a Climate Fresk workshop – a teach-in on climate justice within the World-Wide Teach-ins and as a part of the Sustainability Week of AUCA.  More than 30 people took part in the engaging and collaborative learning with Climate Fresk.

 

The presentation of the Paper2U project was held at AUCA

For about half a year, containers with the inscription: “Receipts only” have stood in different places at the university. Not everyone knows why these containers appeared at AUCA and why they collect receipts separately from other waste paper.
