Farzana Abdilashimova graduated from AUCA in 2019 with a degree in Sociology. Upon graduation, she continued her academic journey by pursuing a master's degree at Central European University. Currently, she is holding the position of Project Officer at the Spotlight Initiative program, UN Women. In this interview, Farzana shares her favorite moments at AUCA and what was it like pursuing her career path.

Zhamilia Asanova graduated from Journalism and Mass Communication Department in May 2022. Right after graduation Zhamilia decided to continue her education and entered a Master’s degree program at the Corvinus University of Budapest. Zhamilia participated in a highly competitive Stipendium Hungaricum program and was among the top-selected students from all over Kyrgyzstan.

Karim-Aly Kassam, the Cornell University Professor of Environmental and Indigenous Studies in the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment, held a seminar at AUCA on December 16, titled  “A Methodology of Hope for the Climate Crises: The Role of Ecological Calendars”

On December 9, 2022, AUCA Business School organized the annual Business Advisory Council (BAC) roundtable with CEOs and representatives of the leading companies in Kyrgyzstan to discuss the achievements and developments of the department, labor market trends and employment of AUCA graduates

Tentikeeva Anara is a junior student of the Liberal Arts and Sciences department at AUCA. Currently, she is spending her exchange semester in New York, studying at Bard Globalization and International Affairs Program. The American University of Central Asia handed over 20 computers to the O. Tursumatov Ber-Bulak Comprehensive School located in Ber-Bulak village in the Alamedin district of the Chui region. The school was visited by AUCA President and Vice-President of Bard College Jonathan Becker and AUCA Vice-President Chyngyz Shamshiev.

We previously informed you that The Christmas Buy Nothing is a charity event where you can buy clothes, books and baked goods. The raised money will be spent towards helping the Bishkek City Nursing Home. We need to raise funds by December 13, 2022.

Samar Kanatov is a junior student of the Economics department at AUCA. This fall semester he is studying at Central European University in Vienna, Austria. Samar always knew that he will participate in exchange and would spend at least one semester abroad.
