November 19 - 24, 2015 two Practice Pasture Management Training Courses on Sustainable Pasture Management were held by Dr. Zheenbek Kulenbekov during his Environmental and Social Impact Assessment courses at AUCA.

Saule Suleimeinova is, among other things, a cellophane painter. She is one of Kazakhstan’s most profound artists. Her work has been exhibited around CIS countries, the U.S. and Europe. Suleimeinova arrived October 24 to participate in Topografica, the art exhibition currently up at AUCA, and got to work immediately.

Nuriza Begalieva, a Senior in the European Studies department, spent an exchange semester this spring at Sciences Po, Reims, in France. There she studied the politics of France and the European Union while also improving her French.

On November 14, 2015 AUCA’s student television group AUCA TV was awarded “Best Social Youth Project of the Year” by Jashtar Camp 2015, held in the Kyrgyz National Library.

On December 5th, 2015, AUCA’s business consulting group supported by USAID and the AUCA Career Center will be holding the “STUDENT FOCUS” forum intended for student entrepreneurship.

On November 20, 2015 NATO Liaison Officer/Head of Office in Central Asia Ms. Rosaria Puglisi visited AUCA. At AUCA, Puglisi saw the NATO Multimedia Corner and the University Library.

On November 26, 2015, AUCA will be celebrating Thanksgiving Day. Members of the AUCA community are invited to pen their own personal “thankyous” (be it to their parents, professors, friends, pets, etc.) and place them on the “Thanksgiving Boards” now up in the main forum.

On 18 November, 2015 four Anthropology students received the Mary Schweitzer Scholarship for Excellence in Cultural Anthropology. The winners are Aidai Kadyralieva, Gulnura Akylbekova, Aisuluu Akhmetova, and Altynai Abdrakhmanova.

On November 6th of 2015, the AUCA Student Senate held elections with an electronic voting system and a biometric system of authentication. 10 students were elected to the Student Senate.
