The First AUCA-IU Workshop on Central Eurasia, 3-4 July 2017

May 31, 2017

Dear colleagues,

The American University of Central Asia and the University of Indiana plan to hold a biannual two-day workshop highlighting emerging trends in the scholarship on Central Eurasia. The workshops will take place alternatively at AUCA and IU campuses, and will unite faculty and advanced graduate students from both universities. The initiative is funded by AUCA endowment at IU and all expenses of travelling participants will be covered.

On 3-4 July 2017, CASI will host the first AUCA-IU workshop on Central Asia. The topic of this year's workshop is "Locating Central Asia within Eurasia." We expect that as an opening theme "Locating Central Asia" will identify a set of topics of mutual interest for future workshops.
