Kyrgyzstan’s Entrepreneurs consult with AUCA students at the Business Clinic
The American University of Central Asia (AUCA) provides consulting services to individual entrepreneurs, companies and organizations in Kyrgyz Republic through a university Business Clinic. The target group of AUCA’s Business Clinic is entrepreneurs and small organizations, mainly operating in Bishkek.

The Law Division of AUCA kindly invites to the lecture: "A View from the Field: How International Development Aid Really Works...and How It Should"
Stephen Golub is an international development scholar, researcher and consultant who has field experience in over 40 countries across the globe; authored dozens of papers on democracy, governance, legal empowerment and the rule of law; and edited several volumes on these topics . He has taught at the Central European University, Tufts University and the University of California at Berkeley.

The AUCA Outdoor Club had its first expedition
This past weekend AUCA's newest club, the AUCA Outdoor Club, had its first ever expedition – and what an expedition it was!
Lead by two of this summer’s Eco Leadership Program (ELP) Alumni, students from the AUCA Outdoor Club attended the Trekking Union of Kyrgyzstan’s annual ‘Meeting of the Tourists’ in Kegeti Gorge to show off their Outdoor Skills and compete in trekking and camping competitions against students from four other Bishkek Universities.

Malika Kanatbek kyzy: “Dreams can come true if you really work hard to reach them”
Malika Kanatbek kyzy is a junior in the Journalism and Mass Communications Department (JMC) at AUCA. She had an internship at the US Embassy in Bishkek, participated in the Youth for Human Rights International Summit (YHRI) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, and started her exchange semester at Bard College in the US. Malika shared her thoughts and experience with us.

On September 7-11, 2016, Peg Peoples, the Associate Vice President for Education Initiatives at the Bard Institute for Writing & Thinking, visited the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) to meet and conduct workshops with faculty and staff members. She visited NGA, the WARC, FYS, GenEd, and talked with directors, faculty, and tutors.

AUCA Law Division Conducts a Summer School on Human Rights with the University of Zagreb
The American University of Central Asia (AUCA) Law Division and the University of Zagreb Faculty of Law in Croatia conducted the 2016 Summer School in Human Rights in early September. The week-long seminar occurred in Kyrgyzstan and included five AUCA students, four AUCA professors, five University of Zagreb students and three University of Zagreb professors.

September 16, a guest lecture at the AUCA by Mr. Rajendra Shende, Policy Advisor at United Nations
Tian Shan Policy Center kindly invites all interested to a guest lecture by Mr. Rajendra Shende, Policy Advisor at United Nations on implementation of activities related to ozone layer protection and climate change in more than 146 developing countries. Rajendra Shende is expert on transfer of environmentally sound technologies and the implementation of the Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) in the developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
