Bethany Zulick: AUCA students frequently go on to be leaders in the community and to pursue further education
AUCA would like to provide students and university community with information about our professors. Professors are a critical resource within the University community, possessing a range of skills and knowledge which can contribute significantly to the quality of the institution in a variety of ways. Professors in AUCA provide leadership in their research discipline within a national and international context.

Fulbright Specialist Anita Walz Visits AUCA
From April 19 to May 1, 2017, AUCA Library hosted Ms. Anita Walz, Open Education, Copyright, and Scholarly Communication Librarian at Virginia Tech.  Ms. Walz came to AUCA under the Fulbright Specialist Program, funded by the U.S. Department of State.

AUCA field trip to Kumtor
April 21 and 22, the program in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development (EM&SD) sent professors Orozbaev and Asanov along with four students two Bard exchange students on a site tour at the Kumtor Mining Area in Issyk-Kul.

Joint Seminar of CASI and the Anthropology Club “Central Asian Anthropology Accelerates: The past decade in context”
SPEAKER: Nathan Light, PhD, Researcher at Uppsala University, Sweden
Abstract: This lecture considers the past 60 years of social and cultural anthropological research in Central Asia explores what has held the field back for so long, and why and how it has become so productive in the past decade. I seek to stimulate a conversation about the value and potential of anthropology of Central Asia, and the reasons it has been slow to develop as an academic field.
