The Master of Arts degree program in Central Asian Studies is designed to provide students with a critical understanding of past and present Central Asia – in its varied social, political, economic, and cultural aspects – and to survey the disciplinary approaches that have shaped the study of the region.
Students in the program will be required to critically analyze and evaluate research on Central Asia and to acquire proficiency in a local language at a level allowing them to conduct independent research or professional work.
MACAS is an interactive graduate program offering students the unique opportunity to pass from learning to practice and from practice to learning.
