Dear All,
The AUCA International and Business Law Department (the “IBL Department”) intends to leverage the TikTok platform to create and curate content to engage students and their community. All content is aimed to showcase an authentic and genuine look at AUCA, student life, campus culture, and the legal profession in general.
Here are a few ways the IBL Department may leverage TikTok with short videos:
The IBL Department is looking for students who may create a short video of 15-25 seconds about the IBL Department for TikTok. Videos should be creative and interesting. The content of the video is at the discretion of a student. Please note that a video shall not contain offensive/abusive language. Music and sound may be included in a video as key components of TikTok’s ecosystem.
NB! Participants of the contest may not use (upload/make public) their videos anywhere, except for the contest.
You may upload your video into Google Drive or another system and provide us with the link to the video via email to law@auca.kg. If pre-selected, the video will be posted on the IBL Department social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Telegram).
Deadline
Your videos should be submitted by April 06, 2021.
Eligibility
Judging
The eligible videos will be pre-selected by the Panel of judges from the IBL Department, including faculty and students, chaired by the IBL faculty member within two (2) weeks after the deadline.
The eligible videos will be gradually posted on TikTok for a month (conditionally, on the number of videos submitted, the time frame can be decreased/increased). The tentative time frame for posting the videos is from April 27 until May 27, 2021.
The winner of the competition is to be identified by the TikTok audience - People’s Choice Award. The Grand Prize for a People’s Choice Award will be сonditional on the reports from TikTok and will be given to the video that receives the maximum TikTok engagement rate within a month.
The winner will be identified on June 27, 2021 (one (1) month after the last video was uploaded). Thus, for instance, if a video is posted on TikTok on April 27 at 10:00, then we consider the engagement rate as of May 27 at 10:00, etc.
The formula for calculating the maximum TikTok engagement rate is as follows:
[(Number of likes + number of comments + number of shares) / number of views] X 100
Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded:
People’s Choice Award (limited to TikTok only)
Looking forward to your creative videos!
