AUCA officially welcomes all of its freshmen as full members of the AUCA community only after they have completed their first midterm exams; this tradition is rooted in the understanding that AUCA expects more from its students than other universities. The ceremony is also used to inaugurate the student government and swear in university presidents. After the official ceremony, choreographed chaos ensues as the AUCA Student Theater puts on a raucous 90-minute variety show. Clips from previous Initiations are currently playing on the display.
