EXCHANGE PROGRAMS

If you are considering going to graduate school, international experience may be useful. It will demonstrate your ability to operate independently, show resilience, adaptability, global-mindedness, allow you to take courses not offered at AUCA, and immerse yourself in another culture. You may go on exchange to an AUCA partner-university for one semester via AUCA’s International Office “AUCA Study Abroad” program.

If you would like to go on exchange, here are some things to consider:

  • start planning early—you will most likely have to fill out your exchange application in your sophomore year;
  • look through the list of partner universities on the “AUCA Study Abroad” website, and study them in-depth—think of the experience you want to have while studying abroad;
  • put effort into your GPA (while the minimum bar is >=2.5, some programs may demand >3.2)
  • consider cost and funding (you will need to pay tuition at AUCA, as well as cover travel, visas, and living expenses).

Note: for more detailed information on going on exchange, please reach out to the International Office: international@auca.kg.
