ADELYA SEYITOVA

Major in Economics, ECO-123

“Believe in yourself and anything becomes possible”

Adelya Seyitova is a junior student of the Economics department. Having once experienced the challenges of adjusting to university life herself, she is motivated to help freshmen feel supported and confident as they begin their academic journey. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and hiking, and she is always happy to share these interests with others. Her main reason for becoming a Peer advisor is that she remembers how difficult her own first semester felt, and she wants to make the transition easier for freshmen. She hopes to help new students feel welcomed, supported, and connected to AUCA from the very beginning.

 

 

ADEMI AKYLBEKOVA

Major in Business Administration, BA-123

“Everything is worth trying, do your best, and the rest will be given by God"

Ademi Akylbekova is a junior student of the Business Administration department. She is passionate about baking (though she does not eat sugar) and handiwork. She is also a beginner in running but has already completed two races and earned two medals. Ademi loves numbers, fall, lattes, and kittens.

She appreciates the role of peer advisors in helping new students adapt to university life. Since it was difficult for her in her freshman year to get acquainted with the university, offices, courses, and instructors, she wants to do her best to ensure that students and advisees do not face the same problems.

AIDANA UMETALIEVA

Major in Sociology, SOC-122

"Never lose yourself" and "Stay curious and keep learning"

Aidana Umetalieva is a senior student of the Sociology department. She enjoys learning, meeting new people, and exploring different perspectives. She likes helping others and making connections that make everyday life more enjoyable. 

Aidana has been a peer advisor for two years, helping freshmen make their schedules, navigate academic questions, and adjust to university life. She knows from experience how challenging the first year can be. Aidana also understands how challenging it can be to adapt to a new environment, and she knows how important it is to have someone who can guide and support students during this period. She really values being that person who supports and guides them during this transition.

AKBAR AITEMIROV

Major in International and Business Law, IBL-123

“Do something today that you'll be grateful for tomorrow”

Akbar Aitemirov is a junior student of the International and Business Law department. He enjoys working with students from diverse backgrounds and tries to create an academic environment where everyone can learn something new from each other.

Akbar is a peer advisor to support students with academic questions, share the knowledge and experience he has gained over the past few years, and just talk to the students if they want to. 

 

ALINA ABASOVA

Major in Software Engineering, SFW-123

“There could be no tomorrow, so live in today.”

Alina Abasova is a junior student of the Software Engineering department. She is good at math and knows how to listen, which is why she is a WARC tutor. Alina enjoys active sports such as hiking and biking, although nowadays she has little time for them. Alongside sports, she likes all types of games: board games, computer games, phone games, and more.

AMALIIA ABUBAKIROVA

Major in Journalism and Mass Communications, JMC-122

“Stay curious, keep exploring”

Amaliia Abubakirova is a junior student of the Journalism and Mass Communications department. Along with her studies, she is a WARC tutor and is actively involved in student life. She is also a member of the Student Senate. Her main reason for becoming a peer advisor is to support students in adjusting to university life by sharing her own experience and helping them manage their studies and activities effectively. She would like to participate in organizing workshops, mentoring sessions, and other events dedicated to students.

 

 

AMINA SHAILOBEK KYZY

Major in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Social Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking; Minor in Business Administration, LAS-SE-124

“Never settle for less – life is too vast; always strive for what truly inspires and fulfills you.”

Amina Shailobek kyzy is a sophomore student of the Liberal Arts and Sciences department. She is always curious and eager to learn and grow. Amina strives to balance persistence with empathy, facing life’s challenges with an open heart, knowing that we are only given what we can handle. Her main reason for being a peer advisor is that she remembers how overwhelming it felt having many questions as a freshman. Amina knows how comforting it is to have someone to turn to, so she is excited to be that person — a friendly guide who helps students find their way, feel supported, and gain confidence along their educational journey.

 

 

ANASTASIA ASAMBAEVA

Major in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Digital Cultures, LAS-122

“You must try your best, and that’s the best anyone can do”

Anastasia Asambaeva is a senior student of the Liberal Arts and Sciences department with a concentration in Digital Cultures. Her hobbies include photography, art, and video games.  She enjoys observing and appreciating nature – even something as small as plants on the sidewalk. When learning something new, even if it seems useless, she always tries to come up with a way to explain and share it. As a peer advisor, she wants to help fellow students so they do not feel lost and can settle in more easily. She would especially like to contribute to events and educational activities.

ARLEN SEITALIEV

Major in Applied Mathematics and Informatics, AMI-123

"What do you think you know and why do you think you know it?”

Arlen Seitaliev is a junior student of the Applied Mathematics and Informatics department. He is an introvert and prefers to chat rather than hang out in unfamiliar company. He spends most of his time studying, playing video games, or reading manga. In general, he is interested in popular science topics. Arlen enjoys helping students navigate both academic and personal challenges. When he was a first-year student, his own peer advisors supported him, encouraged him, and showed him how to adapt to university life. Becoming a peer advisor feels like a way for him to give back and honor the guidance he once received.

ARTUR KIM

Triple major in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Peace and Conflict Studies, Anthropology and International Development, and in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Social Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking, LAS-PC-122

“Making experience the engine of growth”

Artur Kim is a senior student of the Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Anthropology and International Development departments, doing a triple major. He is the Student Senate Chair and an active volunteer in university life. Artur’s reason for being a peer advisor is to reduce difficulties during registration processes.

 

BEGAIM DZHANDAEVA

Double major in Liberal Arts and Sciences: European Studies and International and Business Law, LAS-ES-123

“Whatever is meant for you will always find you”

Begaim Dzhandaeva is a junior student of the Liberal Arts and Sciences department, double-majoring in European Studies and International and Business Law. She is interested in art, history, and the culture of Kyrgyzstan and Europe. Begaim adores the movie “The Devil Wears Prada” and loves reading books by Dan Brown.

She really enjoys making schedules for subjects. Since she is pursuing a double major, Begaim would like to utilize her experience in creating schedules to help others.

HODA SADAT

Major in Journalism and Mass Communication; Minor in European Studies, JMC-122

“Every step forward counts”

Hoda Sadat is a senior student of the Journalism and Mass Communication department with a minor in European Studies. She has also completed the OSUN Certificate course, which strengthened her academic and professional skills. Her main reason for being a peer advisor is to support other students in navigating their educational and personal journeys. She enjoys sharing her experiences and guiding others toward opportunities that can help them grow.

IKBOL ALLAKHUNOV

Major in Software Engineering, SFW-123

Ikbol Allakhunov is a junior student of the Software Engineering department. He is a motivated student who values learning, growth, and teamwork. He enjoys helping others succeed and believes in building a supportive academic community.

His main reason for being a peer advisor is to support fellow students by sharing his experience and helping them navigate academic and personal challenges. Ikbol also wants to contribute to creating a welcoming and encouraging environment where everyone can feel confident.

KLARA ALYMBAEVA

Major in Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science; Minor in International and Comparative Politics, ESCS-123

“I have been through worse; I will get through this.”

Klara Alymbaeva is a junior student of the Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science department, minoring in International and Comparative Politics. Her interests include sustainability, history, and politics, and she has participated in several programs and implemented community projects. She believes in empowering young people to build resilient communities and a sustainable future. Her main reason for being a peer advisor is to help students organize their schedules most effectively. Anything that involves human interaction and communication is welcomed by her.

 

LUNA MALTSEVA

Major in Software Engineering, SFW-123

“We all learn eventually”

Luna Maltseva is a junior student of the Software Engineering department. She is a designer, writer, and programmer. Her engagement with the university goes far beyond academics. She collaborates with offices all over the university to create masterful in-house resources. Luna serves as a peer advisor to create an informal communications channel with students taking Introduction to Programming and Object-Oriented Programming, for which she is a Teaching Assistant.

MARIIA BYSTROVA

Major in Applied Mathematics and Informatics, AMI-123

"It is impossible to jump over your head without training. Hard work pays off"

Mariia Bystrova is a senior student of the Applied Mathematics and Informatics department.  She likes to draw and values creativity. Mariia is passionate about the mission of peer advisors: to help and guide students who are new and not yet accustomed to the unusual system they face. Peer advisors helped her a lot, and she is grateful that such a role exists in the university. Now, Mariia wants to apply her efforts to build the community and help others.

NAGIMA ARAPOVA

Major in International and Business Law, IBL-124

“Just be the best version of yourself. You don’t need to try to be anyone else”

Nagima Arapova is a junior student of the International and Business Law department. She has a wide range of interests: from lectures and volunteering to reading, traveling, exploring fashion, and enjoying cozy moments with her loved ones. She is drawn to the new and unusual and tries to find inspiration and little adventures every day. Nagima knows firsthand how meaningful it is to receive guidance and support when you need it most. Helping others gives her joy and allows her to connect with people. As a peer advisor, she would like to be actively involved in the activities of the Advising Center.

 

NAHIDA QASIMI

Major in Psychology; Minor in International and Comparative Politics, PSY-123

"Consistency beats intensity. Small steps every day lead to big achievements”

Nahida Qasimi is a junior student of the Psychology department, majoring in International and Comparative Politics. She has led youth leadership and community projects supported by the U.S. Embassy, served in AUCA’s Student Senate, and worked in cross-cultural programs abroad. Passionate about mental health, diplomacy, and sustainable development, she aims to bridge psychology and international relations in her future career. As a peer advisor, she wants to support fellow students’ academic success and well-being by sharing practical study strategies and offering a listening ear. Nahida would also like to be involved in the Advising Center’s activities by supporting workshops, mentoring students one-on-one, and helping to create resources that make academic life easier and more engaging.

NISSO NAVRUZSHOYEVA

Major in Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science; Minor in Economics, ESCS-123

“Stay curious, stay kind, and the rest will follow”

Nisso Navruzshoyeva is a junior student of the Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science department with a minor in Economics. Beyond academics, she enjoys painting, tea culture, and exploring new ideas through clubs and conferences at AUCA. Her passion lies in sustainability and community work, but she also loves creating spaces where people can connect, learn, and support one another. She believes that curiosity and kindness go a long way in both studying and life. Her main reason for becoming a Peer Advisor is to support fellow students by sharing her experiences, helping them adapt, and guiding them through challenges. She wants to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where students feel motivated to achieve their goals. Nisso would like to contribute by mentoring new students, organizing informational and interactive events, and assisting with community-building activities that strengthen the advising culture at AUCA.

 

 

NURAIYM ASANOVA

Major in Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science, ESCS-124

“You can not be good at everything, but that does not mean you can not do anything”

Nuraiym Asanova is a junior student of the Environmental Sustainability and Climate Science department. She is a reflective and curious person who connects nature, education, and ideas. She loves challenging herself either through writing essays, learning, or even running. She sees herself as a person who loves sharing her experiences with others and finds joy in helping people to grow and feel more confident about themselves. As a peer advisor, she would like to be involved in the activities of the Advising Center by helping other students discover opportunities to grow, develop, and learn. This would also enable her to continue developing her own skills and contribute to the student community.

 

 

SABINA DZHUMALIEVA 

Major in International and Comparative Politics, ICP-122

“Both action and inaction can bring pain – which kind you endure is up to you.”

Sabina Dzhumalieva is a senior student of the International and Comparative Politics department. She sees university as a bridge - sometimes wobbly, sometimes wide, always full of possibilities. She believes that the way students will face tests and triumphs, challenges and opportunities, each pushing them toward their goals. Sabina’s journey at AUCA has had its bumps and bright spots, shaping who she is and how she approaches the world.

As a Peer Advisor, Sabina walks alongside students to celebrate their steps forward, support them when the path feels shaky, and ensure they never feel alone on their academic journey as they cross that bridge - the bridge to the future. Her primary reason for being a peer advisor is to help and guide students through their academic experience. She aims to use the knowledge and experience she has gained at AUCA to support others, help them avoid unnecessary obstacles, and encourage them to grow with confidence.

Saltanat Isaeva is a sophomore student of the Psychology department. She has a strong desire to help freshmen, especially since there were no peer advisors during her first year of study.

“It is better to do and regret than not to do and regret”

Savlet Nishanbek kyzy is a junior student of the Software Engineering department. She enjoys taking pictures, playing musical instruments, and participating in social work, as well as leading an active lifestyle. In her first year, she was greatly inspired by how peer advisors supported students, which motivated her to become one herself. As a peer advisor, she wants to focus on live communication and assisting students with questions about double majors, minors, and transfers.

Major in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Mathematical Modeling in Natural and Social Sciences; Minor in Software Engineering and Applied Mathematics and Informatics, LAS-122

"Hard work pays off”

Serdar Urustemov is a junior student of the Liberal Arts and Sciences department. Just a simple guy who is trying to study with two minors in Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics and Informatics, he really enjoys extracurricular activities and communicating with people, though his social battery can run out at any moment. When he first came to AUCA, it was unusual to be responsible for his entire schedule, study plan, and curriculum on his own. It was both difficult and interesting. Especially after planning for double majors and minors, he realized how exciting it could be. Now he believes he has every opportunity to help others with the same enthusiasm he had back then. He enjoys helping students with their problems and questions, and he is always ready to provide individual support.

TYNCHTYKBEK RAIYMBEKOV

Major in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Social Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking, LAS-SEDT-123

“Evolve, or repeat”

Tynchtykbek Raiymbekov is a junior student majoring in Liberal Arts and Sciences: Social Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking, combining academic studies with his role as a product manager at an IT company. He works on projects that merge technology with social impact, including educational games and a podcast on social innovation. The main reason he became a peer advisor is his desire to help other students cope with academic and personal challenges. He wants to share the skills, strategies, and experiences he has gained as a student to support others in succeeding. Tynchtykbek is especially interested in mentoring and supporting students through one-on-one advising sessions.

Valeriya Pan is a junior student of the Applied Mathematics and Informatics department. Valeriya is passionate about studying in groups with her friends and supporting others in their academic journey. Beyond studies, she likes listening to music, drawing, and exploring new places. As a peer advisor, Valeriya believes that students thrive best when they feel supported and understood. Sharing her own experiences and helping others navigate academic and personal challenges motivates her to contribute to the community. She also finds it very interesting to meet new people with different backgrounds.

Zahra Rajabi is a junior student of the Liberal Arts and Sciences department, concentrating in Social Entrepreneurship and Design Thinking. Zahra is interested in creativity, music, and art. She is committed to helping others and fostering mutual respect. In addition, she aims to stay optimistic and open-minded to make a positive impact in her community. Zahra’s main reason for being a peer advisor is to share her experiences with new students, help them adjust successfully to university life, and provide support whenever they need it.
