The Central Asian Studies Institute has completed the review of proposals for the research grants, and is happy to announce that the following three projects were approved for funding:

International House is a vibrant residence and program center of more than 700 graduate students and trainees representing more than 100 countries. It is perhaps the most culturally diverse student community in all of New York City.

Smolny College of St. Petersburg State University will host its First Smolny Student Readings “Humanities in the interdisciplinary perspective” on April 21, 2012.

On April, 11, at 15:35, ar room 315, a public lecture of International Scholar within AFP program Philip Carl Salzman from McGill University (Canada) will be conducted. 

In four regions of the country, April 6-13, "Creating a comprehensive system of vocational guidance in the framework of the innovation process: high school-college-university-labor market" round tables took place. 

Feb. 1/The Tian Shan Policy Center (TSPC) in association with the Central Asian Studies Institute (CASI) convened a conference at AUCA on how to strengthen cooperation between government, think-tanks, and research institutions.  The dialogue sought to broaden perspectives for new initiatives in policy development.  Participants included Members of Parliament, research institutes and centers, experts, civil society organizations, and university faculty and students. The TSPC offered its support to government agencies and the Jogorku Kenesh in developing legislative anlaysis and policy reforms. 

At 13.30 on 17 march opening ceremony of “Business: small business management” and “English Language” programs for military took place in AUCA.
