Mira Dzhakshylykova graduated from AUCA in 2021 with a degree in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development and International and Comparative Politics. Upon graduation, she went on to pursue her Master's degree in a joint Master’s program on Water Cooperation and Diplomacy.

Dr. Görkem Atsungur has been appointed as the new Chair of the International and Comparative Politics Department.
We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Görkem Atsungur as a Chair of the International and Comparative Politics Department. Gorkem has been working with us since 2012. He received his B.A in International Relations from Cyprus International University, his M.A in European Studies from Istanbul Bilgi University, and his Mgr. in Political Science – European Politics from Masaryk University in the Czech Republic.

AUCA Crisis Game 2018
On November 16-17, the International and Comparative Politics Department held its annual Crisis Games at the American University of Central Asia. Open to all undergraduate students interested in politics, the games simulated a crisis scenario in East Asia and invited the students to represent and act on behalf of the key actors in the region.
