Dr. Nurbek Jenish is an Associate Professor in the Economics department at the American University of Central Asia. He holds a Ph.D. in Open Economy Macroeconomics from Central European University (2008, Hungary), a Master of Arts degree in Development Economics from Australian National University (2000, Australia), an MBA from the Academy of Management under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (1998, Kyrgyzstan), and a Master of Science degree in Computing and Information Systems from Kyrgyz Technical University (1997, Kyrgyzstan). 

Dr. Nurbek Jenish joined AUCA in 2009 as an Associate Professor and was the Head of the Economics department from 2012 to 2014. He also worked as a Deputy Governor at the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic from 2014 to 2022.
