Irina Babich is an Assistant Professor of the non-degree General Education program at the American University of Central Asia. She received a Master of Arts degree in Philology from Kyrgyz State National University (2019, Kyrgyzstan), and a specialized degree in French Language and Literature from Kyrgyz State National University (1991, Kyrgyzstan). 

Irina joined AUCA in 2000 as a part-time faculty member until 2012 when she became an Assistant Professor of French. She achieved the sixth level of language proficiency confirmed by the internationally recognized DALF C2 diploma. Starting in 2006, Irina has been actively collaborating with the Embassy of France to the Kyrgyz Republic and the French Alliance in Bishkek as a teacher, translator, and certified examiner-correspondent for international DELF/DALF exams in the Kyrgyz Republic. 

Irina participated in the DELF/DALF Examiner-corrector training (2021), the professional development training for French language teachers (2019), and the “Strategy and Methodology of Academic Writing in Second Language” professional development training (2018).
