Dr. Nurbek Madmarov is an Assistant Professor at the School of Entrepreneurship and Business Administration of the American University of Central Asia. He earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (2021, Kyrgyzstan), a Master of Arts in Economics from the Institute of Social Sciences at the Yildiz Technical University (2013, Turkey), and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Administrative and Economics Sciences department of Yildiz Technical University (2011, Turkey).
Dr. Madmarov joined AUCA in 2018 as a part-time lecturer. Currently, he is a full-time faculty member and a reviewer in Scopus Q1, the Journal of Eurasian Studies, and the international journal MANAS Journal of Social Studies.
Dr. Madmarov received a DAAD Scholarship to implement the project Macroeconomic and Microeconomic Determinants of Risk Management Attitudes: Comparative Analyses of German and Kyrgyz Commercial Banks in 2019-2020 in WHZ, Zwickau, Germany, during 2019-2020. He worked as the head researcher in the projects titled Supporting the Efforts of Government Civil Society in Combating Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment in Kyrgyzstan and Factors behind Increasing Food Prices in the Kyrgyz Republic: COVID-19 or Others? funded by the Penal Reform International (PRI) in Central Asia and the AUCA/Senate Research Committee during 2018-2019 and 2022-2023.
