Begimai Abdraeva is an Assistant Professor at the School of Entrepreneurship and Business Administration of the American University of Central Asia. She is a Ph.D. candidate at Kyrgyz State Technical University. She holds a Master of Arts in Economic Governance and Development from the OSCE Academy (2015, Kyrgyzstan) and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the American University of Central Asia (2009). 

Begimai joined AUCA in 2017. Since September 2023, she has been a fellow of the Center for Liberal Arts and Sciences Pedagogy (CLASP) of the Bard College Institute for Writing and Thinking (IWT). She participated in the European Climate Change Policy professional development course at the OSCE Academy (May 2023) and the OSUN Civic Engagement Program, Experiential Learning Institute participant at UniAndes University in Colombia (July 2023).
