Kanykei Kasybekova is an Assistant Professor in the International and Business Law department and LL.M Program at the American University of Central Asia. She holds her LL.M in International Business Law from Central European University (2010, Hungary) and a Bachelor's degree in Law (magna cum laude) from the American University of Central Asia (2009, Kyrgyzstan). She holds certificates from the Online Intensive Programme in European Law and Economics from the Riga Graduate School of Law (2020) and Summer School in Private International Law Session from The Hague Academy of International Law (2018). 

Kanykei joined AUCA in 2010 as a faculty member of the Law Program. She served as the Coordinator of the AUCA-Bard Project from 2012 to 2016. Since 2023, she has coordinated the Human Rights Concentration of the Liberal Arts and Sciences department at AUCA.
