Dr. Kamila Mateeva is the Head of the International and Business Law department, the Director of the LL.M. Program, and the Head of the Law Division at the American University of Central Asia. She holds her Ph.D. degree from Kyrgyz National Academy and Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University (2018, Kyrgyzstan), an LL.M. degree (magna cum laude) from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis (2005, USA), and an LL.B. Degree (Valedictorian 2004) from the American University of Central Asia (2004, Kyrgyzstan).
Dr. Mateeva joined AUCA in 2005 and currently serves as Associate Professor of the Law Division, where she has been teaching full-time since 2005. In 2012-2015 she served as the Head of International and Business Law Department, AUCA. Since 2015 she has been the Director of the LL.M. Program at AUCA. In 2024, she was appointed Head of the International and Business Law Program and head of the Law Division. She served as a member of several university committees. In parallel, Kamila Mateeva is a member of the International Advisory Board for the Human Rights Practice Program at the University of Arizona and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the International Court of the CIS organization. She has given lectures and presented her research findings as a guest speaker in partner universities, including the University of Arizona (USA), Indiana University (USA), the University of Gdansk (Poland), City University of London (UK), Warsaw State University (Poland), and other universities.
