LAS Mass Communications

Concentration Program in Mass Communications focuses on building professional journalism and PR skills such as journalism writing skills, media production, digital storytelling, and PR studies. Students will produce web-sites, TV, audio and print journalism outputs as well as write press-releases and conduct their first PR campaigns. Practice-based studies complemented several theoretical courses that provide extensive cultural background along with a deep understanding of mass communications. The program courses increase students understanding of the role of the media in society and raise their capacity in the communications industry. This effort increases the media literacy of the public in general.
