US Embassy researcher Ryan Schmedding: "The air over Bishkek is slowly but improving"
On December 2, a guest lecture by Ryan Schmedding, a researcher at the US Embassy, was held in an online format, organized by the AUCA Center for Environmental Studies and Development (CED), the Alliance of Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic for Green Economy and Sustainable Development (AVZUR) together with the US Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.

CASI Literature Week: “Islamic Scholars, Wine-Soaked Romance, and Textual Genre: Culture and Contradiction in Central Asia", Nov 26, 18:00
Literature Week is a part of CASI’s Workshop on Literature and History. Supported by a generous contribution from Matthew Nimetz, the aim of the workshop is to create a community of junior scholars and advanced graduate students committed to studying literature and to applying literary tools and methodologies to the study of literary art in the Central Asian past.

AUCA smog Study in Bishkek: Myths and Reality
Several research centers – the Tian Shan Analytical Center (TAC) of AUCA, the OSCE Academy, as well as the Center for Environmental and Development Studies (CED) and the Department of Applied Geology of the American University of Central Asia – conducted a study on the air quality problem "Smog in Bishkek: Myths and Reality" this summer.
