On May 31, 2024, AUCA faculty Kamilya Kadyrova and Daniyar Karabaev and AUCA library director Jyldyz Bekbalaeva delivered a “Digital Methods in Humanities” training session for 20 faculty members from various institutions in Bishkek. The session aimed to introduce educators to digital methods and tools to enhance their research and teaching in the humanities disciplines. The training included an overview of DH as an emerging interdisciplinary field and the practice text analysis tools, including Google Ngram, Voyant, and AntConc. By fostering DH skills among partner institutions, AUCA contributes to promoting innovative approaches to humanities scholarship and strengthening the academic community in the country. The Digital Humanities Course is a part of the Digital Cultures concentration within the Department of Liberal Arts and Science.
