Aizana Arslanbekova: “During my studies in AUCA I challenged myself in different spheres to find out my strengths”

During my studies at AUCA, I challenged myself in different spheres to discover my strengths; however, it was not enough to see my potential. I wanted to know how I would behave in completely unfamiliar places and situations. Thus, the exchange was a great opportunity not only to learn about new surroundings but also about myself.
I chose IESEG School of Management in France since it provides many excellent courses for future entrepreneurs/businesspeople. I liked their program and professors who have real experience in international business. Moreover, my passion for learning more about French culture and fashion gave me the real "yes" to this program.

For entrepreneurs, it's important to have an understanding of management, law, marketing, finance, and sales to be able to control the quality of their company. I found my classes at IESEG brilliant since we not only learned the theory but also practiced it. We improved our skills as salespeople, our vision in business law, HR management, and increasing savings.
AUCA taught me to take charge of my life and pursue my dreams. I learned to be realistic and ready for new challenges. It was my first flight ever, and I was totally alone, going to places I had never seen before. It sounded scary at the beginning, but my experience in NGA, where I enhanced my leadership, and in AUCA, where I became strong, helped me overcome these challenges. In AUCA, we have so many different people and events, thanks to which I improved my communication skills, making it easy to adapt and find new friends at IESEG. I am so grateful for my alma mater for my community and development.

I realized that the exchange is not only about education and development, but it's also the way you can boost your personal growth. For the first time, you experience living alone, traveling with all unexpected challenges, discovering your talents, helping yourself during hard times, etc. This is a huge experience that makes you more mature and, most importantly, helps you realize your potential. It's funny, but in the end, I finally said to myself, "Oh, Aizana, you are really cool!" That's why I highly recommend to all to embrace this experience while you have this opportunity! Money will come back, but emotions won't ;)
