#exchangeprogram

My name is Zharkynai Maratbek kyzy, and I am a fourth-year student majoring in Business Administration. I decided to participate in the exchange program because I wanted to immerse myself in a different culture and gain a broader perspective on the world, plus of course Networking and building international connections.

While many students opt for universities in the USA and Europe, I wanted something different. First of all I found it amazing to get to know Latin American culture, second it’s about the best university in Latin America offering Business Administration courses, so my academic and life goals aligned with the opportunities that this exchange program could provide. Plus to become the first bachelorette in Latin America was an honor.  At AUCA, I established a solid academic foundation in my field, which significantly enhanced my preparedness for the exchange program. The courses I attended at Universidad de los Andes were particularly enriching because they were taught by foreign professors from Europe. This unique blend of academic excellence and interactive teaching methods provided me with an exceptional learning experience.

My time at AUCA also played a pivotal role in developing my communication skills and adaptability. Interacting with AUCA's diverse and international student body was invaluable. It enabled me to connect with people from various cultural backgrounds and perspectives. This skill set proved invaluable when I transitioned to Universidad de los Andes, making it easier for me to establish new friendships and navigate the cultural nuances of my new academic environment.

The most incredible part of my exchange experience was the opportunity to travel and explore. I vividly recall being a little girl, sitting in geography class, and daydreaming about the vast Amazonas jungle. Finally, I made that dream a reality, and it has been nothing short of amazing. I've had the chance to encounter every facet of the jungle's ecosystem, from its diverse wildlife to its indigenous inhabitants, Learning about their traditions, way of life, and their deep connection to the land. It's given me a profound appreciation for cultural diversity.

But my adventures didn't stop there. Colombia, with its rich and diverse culture, has been a true revelation. The food, in particular, has been a delightful journey for my taste buds. From savory arepas to delicious empanadas and the tantalizing flavors of Colombian coffee, each meal has been a delightful experience. Stunning islands off Colombia's coast. The crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and lush tropical landscapes create a paradise that's unlike anything I've ever seen. Swimming in the Caribbean Sea and discovering the unique marine life around these islands has been a dream come true.

In summary, my exchange experience has been a magical journey filled with exploration, cultural immersion, and unforgettable encounters with nature and people. It's a chapter in my life that I'll cherish forever, thank you Auca and OSUN for the great opportunity!!
