US Embassy Scholarships for Public School Teachers from the regions

April 23, 2020

#MAT

Study for your dual-degree Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) at AUCA

Apply now to the MAT program at the American University of Central Asia (AUCA). Qualified applicants from the regions can earn a full scholarship from the US Embassy that allows you to join the 2020 MAT Cohort.

To qualify for the US Embassy Scholarship, applicants must be teachers of English in public schools in the regions of Kyrgyzstan. Teachers in public schools in Bishkek are not eligible for this scholarship.

The MAT program offers an English language, blended- learning program for teachers and teachers-to-be. Typically, summer semesters are offered on campus at AUCA, and Fall and Spring online. This summer – 2020 – we will offer online classes given the uncertainty around COVID-19 campus reopening and travel restrictions.

The blended approach allows you to teach at your current workplace and log on to evening classes during the school year to earn your Master's degree--both from Bard College, USA, and the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education.

Apply now! The deadline has been extended through April for qualified candidates only. Questions? Email Ziyagul Sabyrova at ioe@auca.kg.
