International and Comparative Politics

The new "Great Game" is happening here and now. As a student of the International and Comparative Politics (ICP) program, learn how Russia, Iran, China, and the United States vie for influence in Central Asia.

Major Requirements

To graduate from the Department of International and Comparative Politics students must complete General Education requirements (80 credits), ICP major requirements (90), internship (6 credits) and 64 credits of elective courses. (64 elective credits required in total: maximum of 18 credits and minimum of 6 credits should be taken within the major, the remaining credits should be taken outside the major.) After completing 240 credits overall, the students will take final examinations that include the defense of a senior thesis, a written exam on International and Comparative Politics, a History of Kyrgyzstan exam, and an English language test.
