Bio

Adilet Karzhoev is the Chair and an Assistant Professor in the Television, Cinema, and Media Arts department at the American University of Central Asia. He holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the American University of Central Asia (2019, Kyrgyzstan) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications in the department of Radio, Television, and Cinema Arts from the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (2011, Kyrgyzstan). 

Adilet joined AUCA in 2015 as the Coordinator of the Video Studio. In 2017, he became an Instructor, and since 2022, he has been the department Chair. He is a professional filmmaker, a producer, and a scriptwriter. Adilet’s filmography includes the short fiction film “Burul” (2023), short  documentary “Black Wagon” (2021),  full-length documentary “Barakholka. The Time Machine” (2020), short fiction film “Carousel” (2019), short documentary “Thank you, doctor!” (2016), and the short documentary “Sary-Oy” (2011).
