Elima Djaparva, Media center "Demge Dem", director

Azamat Tynaev, analytical web-site Vlast.kg, editor

Elima and Azamat told about the results of their trip to the observation point Pikertyk located in 25 km from the Ak-Shirak village of Jeti-Oguz region, Issyk-Kul oblast and 20 km from the border with China. It is in this location, one Kyrgyz citizen was killed by 11 illegal border trespassers from China, who were killed later by the Kyrgyz border guards. This event that generated lots of rumors and interpretations, in fact, is of a worrying character and it forces us to seriously rethink questions of how society relates to such events, questions of border security, and other questions.
