Constructor University
Constructor University (previously called Jacobs University and International University Bremen) was founded in 1999 with the support of the University of Bremen, Rice University in Houston, Texas, and the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. This year the university got preliminary state recognition by the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.
In fall 2001, 130 students from 40 countries arrived on campus and started their studies together with 27 professors – it was the start of the unique, highly international and diverse community that has become the hallmark of what marks Constructor University to this day.
The university currently has approximately 1,400 students from over 90 countries and more than 100 academic staff. Constructor University offers undergraduate, graduate, and interdisciplinary courses. Its academic structure is organized into three main schools: the School of Science, offering programs such as Data Science, Physics, and Biochemistry; the School of Computer Science & Engineering, which includes Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Robotics; and the School of Business, Social & Decision Sciences, covering Economics, Management, International Business, and Social Sciences.
Requirements for the Exchange Program Applicants:
1. You should be a full time junior student at AUCA
2. You must be nominated by AUCA
3. You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
4. Exchange students should be proficient in English to follow courses successfully and complete coursework (equivalent to minimum PBT TOEFL score 550).
Admission Deadlines
Admission to Constructor University is carried out each academic year at AUCA. Depending on the number of students participating in the exchange, the call for an exchange is announced either each semester (Spring and Fall) or once per academic year (Spring or Fall). All AUCA students are notified through their institutional emails of the call for applications. Furthermore, you can also obtain information about the opening of an exchange program through this website. The site will be updated each time before the call for application.
Application Process
All students, willing to apply for exchange programs, must do so through http://abroad.auca.kg/. The system will require students to login through AUCA account only. The recommendation letters are now must be filled in by AUCA professors only using a form within the electronic system. The AUCA students have to send a link to professors' AUCA emails, who will fill in a recommendation form for a student.

The application will require students to upload/complete the following documents by Tuesday, 12:00 PM on February 10, 2026. After the deadline, the system will be closed automatically, and students will not be able to complete the application.
