The 1st module of the Executive Diploma Program
AUCA, in cooperation with the Geneva Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies, has launched the 1st module of the Executive Diploma Program in Development Policies & Practices   On July 3, the first module of the Executive Diploma in Development Policies and Practices (DPP) for the participants from Central Asia and the Caucasus started at the American University of Central Asia.

Today marks the successful conclusion of the three-day Summer Workshop on Policy Labs, organized by the Tian Shan Policy Center under the "Learning by Doing: Policy Labs and Civic Engagement" program. The workshop aimed to establish connections between academic policy research curriculums and organizations, practitioners, and policy makers dedicated to addressing global challenges of sustainable and peaceful development.

      On June 19, 2023, the American University in Central Asia held the official opening of the Summer School on “Challenging human rights issues in Central Asia". This Summer School was organized by the Development Office and the International Business Law Department and sponsored by the Open Society Foundations.

AUCA at AMICAL, Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco, May 23-26, 2023
  The long wait for the AMICAL on-site conference - the first after Kuwait in 2020, just before the Covid pandemic, finally came to an end. Not surprisingly, this was the most attended conference, with 135 attendees from 26 member institutions.

Global Borderlands Workshop
  CASI is holding the first workshop of its Global Borderland Project this week from 23-27 June. Funded by an OSUN grant, the project is meant to coordinate network research and teaching expertise on borderland areas and those indeterminate spaces in which local and more distinctly colonial and/or global traditions have collided.

On June 3, 2023, AUCA Faculty Senate awarded Commencement speaker Dr Karim-Aly S. Kassam with Professor Honoris Causa of the American University of Central Asia in recognition of his contributions to the culturally grounded community-based research on climate change adaptation in Central Asia and sponsoring and supporting AUCA students.
