The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot

The AUCA IBL Program students have participated in the annual Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot since 2013. More than 350 universities all around the world participate in this competition. It is considered to be one of the most prestigious competitions in the area of international commercial arbitration and sales law. 

Its goal is to promote the study of international commercial law and arbitration for the resolution of international business disputes through its application to a concrete problem of a client and to train law leaders of tomorrow in methods of alternative dispute resolution. 

The IBL Program students are highly interested in participating in the Vis Moot as it gives them a wonderful chance to deepen their knowledge, foster their lawyering skills, meet students from other universities, and present their case in front of the professional arbitral tribunal. Students have demonstrated excellent achievements as part of this international competition. The Vis Moot coaches are Dinara Asanbaeva and Kanykei Kasybekova.
