The Central Asian Studies Institute hosted its Fifth Annual Conference on “Contesting Nature in Central Asia” on September 16-17, 2016 at AUCA.
The conference gathered scholars from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds, presenting their research related to the issues of environmental history, political ecology and anthropology of human-environment relations in the region.
