Tamara Alimkanova: From a Campus Workshop to a Full-Time Role at EPAM Major: Software Engineering For Tamara Alimkanova, a meaningful career opportunity began with simply attending a workshop at the Career Development Center. As an active student, she frequently participated in Career Workshops, CV/Resume sessions, Career Fairs, employer presentations, and one-on-one consultations. Each event offered new insights, but one stood out in particular—a workshop introducing the EPAM Campus Program. During the session, Tamara learned in detail how the program works, what stages it includes, and what skills it looks for in applicants. The clear, structured information she received helped her understand the process and encouraged her to take the next step. Shortly after the workshop, she submitted her application through the EPAM website. Tamara successfully passed the educational phase, completed her internship, and, based on her performance, was offered a full-time position as a Software Engineer specializing in .NET development. Today, her daily responsibilities include writing and testing code, fixing bugs, maintaining .NET applications, and collaborating closely with her team to deliver effective software solutions. Looking back, Tamara highlights how essential the Career Development Center was in shaping her path: “Attending the EPAM Campus Program workshop helped me understand the opportunity clearly. Without it, I might not have taken the step to apply.” Now, as she continues her journey at EPAM, Tamara is committed to strengthening her technical expertise, expanding her professional skills, and contributing to impactful software projects.
