AUCA at AMICAL, Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco, May 23-26, 2023
  The long wait for the AMICAL on-site conference - the first after Kuwait in 2020, just before the Covid pandemic, finally came to an end. Not surprisingly, this was the most attended conference, with 135 attendees from 26 member institutions.

Not everyone knows why these containers appeared at AUCA and why they collect receipts separately from other waste paper.

The Visual Storytelling for Civic Engagement and the OSUN network is a course designed to teach students the art of visual storytelling through various media. As part of this course, the students are given the opportunity to showcase their skills by participating in the OSUN film festival.

To answer all the questions at once, Ayana Myrzabekova, the inspirer of the project, Paper2U eco-startup, was invited to AUCA.

Aziza Kanimetova: “AUCA taught me how to think outside of the box”
Aziza Kanimetova graduated AUCA from the Journalism and Mass Communications department in 2020. After graduation, Aziza started an internship as a communication specialist at UNICEF. Upon successful internship completion, Aziza was offered to work at UNICEF as a Design and Social Media Consultant.

Zhamilia Asanova: "AUCA is really the place where you are not alone"
Zhamilia Asanova graduated from Journalism and Mass Communication Department in May 2022. Right after graduation Zhamilia decided to continue her education and entered a Master’s degree program at the Corvinus University of Budapest. Zhamilia participated in a highly competitive Stipendium Hungaricum program and was among the top-selected students from all over Kyrgyzstan.

Dastan Imanaliev graduated from AUCA in 2015 with a degree in International and Business Law. After the completion of his bachelor's degree, Dastan started his carrier path which led him to his current position as the Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kyrgyzstan.
