On June 25-26, 2024, AUCA hosted a two-day “Digital Technologies for Libraries” training, which gathered 25 representatives from partner universities in the regions and Bishkek. The training equipped librarians and academic staff with the latest digital tools and strategies to improve library services.

On June 6, 2024, AUCA Library and CTLT organized an “Information Literacy in Artificial Intelligence” training session, which gathered online over 50 participants from major regional universities in the country. 

  On June 7, 2024, AUCA President Timothy O’Connor and Library Director Jyldyz Bekbalaeva met with Leszek Czerwinski, Sales Regional Manager at Cambridge University Press. The discussion focused on potential collaboration to promote electronic resources and publishing opportunities for the academic community in the country.

AUCA Library organizes a book drive dedicated to International Children’s Book Day.

On January 24-25, the CTLT and the Library organized a two-part online workshop on Information Literacy in Artificial Intelligence.

On October 19-20, 2023 AUCA hosted a training event on “Managing Electronic Resources” for 30 representatives of universities and public libraries from all over Kyrgyzstan. 

April is traditionally considered the month of books because two book holidays are celebrated: April 2 - Children's Book Day, and April 23 - World Book Day. Combining these two holidays, the AUCA Library held a Book Day on April 13.

Since childhood, every one of us has a special place for books in our heart: there are favorite ones, rejected, educational, interesting, important, forgotten and many more!

April 23 is World Book and Copyright Day celebrated internationally to pay tribute to books and authors.
