Career Fair

American University of Central Asia will hold a Career Fair on Saturday, April 13, from 10am to 5pm. The event, which will take place on AUCA’s campus, will host a wide range of companies from Bishkek that will promote their image and seek out potential employees. Most importantly, the Career Fair will be a great opportunity for young students looking to step into a new job, or, in the very least, to familiarize themselves with today’s business climate. Up to 100 students from various universities besides AUCA will be present at the event. The Career Fair’s logo—‘Open the Future!’—will signify the aim of the event, which is to open up future career opportunities for young and ambitious students who, armed with the skillsets they gained from their studies, are ready to make the transition into their future profession.

The Career Fair will rely on the funding of three major sponsors (known as ‘Platinum’, ‘Gold’, and ‘Silver’) who will have the most visible booths on the first floor in Bravo Café for publicity, while simultaneously having a booth in CH-1 for recruitment purposes.

All of the companies that attend will have their own space where students will be able to approach and learn more about the company by speaking with a representative, connect with each representative on a professional level, collect materials, and hand out their resumes.

Apart from speaking with companies, students will also have the chance to listen to AUCA alumni give speeches on their current careers, professional development, their successes and failures, and what insider knowledge they might have about today’s job market. Students will also be wise to take advantage of workshops in both resume and cover letter writing in order to enhance their likelihood of finding employment.

Both student and business attendees will benefit from AUCA’s Career Fair: employers will be able to strengthen their company name and collect resumes of potential employees, and students will have the unique opportunity to connect with the business community on a professional level and circulate their name in the young blood of today’s workforce. Some might even find employment, or their future career. So come and ‘Open the Future’ at AUCA’s Career Fair this Saturday, April 13^th.
