Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition

AUCA International and Business Law Program students participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition National Rounds held in Tashkent. Representing American University of Central Asia, the team demonstrated outstanding advocacy skills and exceptional legal analysis, winning First Place at the National Rounds.
In addition to the championship title, the team was also awarded the prestigious Best Memorial Award, recognizing the highest-scoring written submissions in the competition.
The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is the world’s largest and most renowned moot court competition in public international law. Participants represent fictional states before the International Court of Justice and argue complex issues involving contemporary international legal disputes. The competition challenges students to develop advanced research, writing, and oral advocacy skills while engaging with pressing global legal questions.
By winning the National Rounds, the AUCA team has earned the honor of representing their country at the International Rounds in Washington, D.C., where they will compete against top law schools from around the world.
