Earth Hour

Earth Hour

March 30, 2024

Earth Hour:

Dear AUCA Community,

As we strive to foster a sustainable environment and promote responsible citizenship, we encourage participation in Earth Hour on Saturday, March 30th, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM local time. This global initiative encourages individuals, communities, and businesses to switch off non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about climate change and the importance of energy conservation.

Earth Hour is a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to protect our planet and mitigate the effects of climate change. By coming together and turning off unnecessary lights for just one hour, we can significantly reduce our carbon footprint and conserve energy resources.

We invite every member of the AUCA community to participate in Earth Hour this year. Whether you're on campus, at home, or elsewhere, we encourage you to turn off lights, unplug electronics, and join millions around the globe in showing our commitment to sustainability.

Additionally, we encourage you to use this time to reflect on the small changes we can make in our daily lives to promote environmental conservation. From reducing energy consumption to adopting eco-friendly practices, our actions contribute to a healthier planet for future generations.

Let's unite as a community to make a difference this Earth Hour. Together, we can create a brighter, more sustainable future for all.

Thank you for your participation and dedication to protecting our planet.
