The intensive summer program National Security Language Initiative for Youth 2022, sponsored by the US Department of State, was successfully completed. The American University of Central Asia (AUCA) is thankful to be privileged in hosting a summer school from June 25, 2022 through August 12, 2022 for the American high school students in partnership with the American Councils for International Education. This program was full of academic learning and cultural exchange for 25 US high school students who were granted a great opportunity to expand their knowledge of the Russian language skills, learn more about Kyrgyz and Central Asian culture in Bishkek.
All the students showed strong motivation, good study habits and great performance that helped them to progress their Russian language. During the program closing ceremony, students demonstrated exceptional dancing, acting and singing performances. We appreciate the students for their incredible commitment that they have shown during the summer.
Our special thanks goes also to our partners, program teachers, staff members, and host families who have helped to support our exchange students at school and home, giving up their time to ensure that students kept up with their new experience.
We would like to congratulate our NSLI-Y 2022 students for this accomplishment and are so eager to see what great successes await them in future. We look forward to further successful cooperation and welcome the students of the NSLI-Y program to AUCA!
