Journalists from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were invited to AUCA to participate in the summer school, which takes place in Bishkek (AUCA) and Issyk-Kul (Recreation Center ‘Raduga’).

The training aimed to support media workers in their career development in Journalism and Mass Communication. During the course critical aspects such as ethics, fact checking and disinformation will be covered.  It is an interactive program that provides journalists with the necessary knowledge and skills in the following areas:

  • Data journalism
  • Storytelling
  • Podcasting
  • Digital media

During the opening, U.S. Embassy Press Attaché Nolen Johnson expressed his hope that the training, skills and networking gained by participants  will help them to develop the level of journalism in Central Asia.

‘’I am excited to see that the journalists of Central Asia strive to deliver their work at outstanding quality’’.

The duration of the training is three weeks, starting from today and ending on July 1, 2022.
