"AUCA has a large number of partner universities worldwide"
May 16, 2022
Aichurek Ryspekova is a junior student at the Business Administration program who was a participant in the AUCA exchange program at IESEG university in Paris, France. After coming back from the program, she shared her experience with us.
One of the reasons why I chose AUCA is that it has a large number of partner universities worldwide. I dreamed of being an exchange student as I am eager to learn new things like languages and various different cultures, especially French. Since childhood I've dreamed of fluently speaking French and I am thankful to AUCA professors who helped me to improve it.
In the fall of 2021, I started my exchange semester in IESEG School of Management University. It is a business school and almost all courses were related to business areas. It offers a huge list of courses without any limitations to choose, moreover I experienced courses that were Intensive, meaning courses last only a week 4 hours per day, so students could concentrate more on a specific class. Most of the teachers were business practitioners who taught us and provided real cases along with the theory.
On the first day I noticed a large number of exchange students from the USA, Mexico, Germany, Brazil, China, Korea and other countries that gave me a great experience of exchange studies between different cultures. During exchange study we had a chance to travel together to Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands and spend our free time together with local friends, walking around the city, learning something new all the time. It was very exciting to immerse ourselves in a new culture as a local and every day we experienced the same delight as the first time.
I am insanely grateful to AUCA for such a wonderful opportunity and an amazing experience that I had as I learned a lot and gained a lot in such a short time. I've been through so many things and met so many good people while I've lived here, and I couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity. Ernest Hemingway aptly called Paris “A holiday that will always be with you".
