Legal Regulation of Houses Adjoining Land Handbook

Legal Regulation of Houses Adjoining Land Handbook

October 22, 2012

On October 12, International and Business Law Department published a new Handbook written by AUCA law students and professors.

“Legal Regulation of Houses Adjoining Land” Handbook was developed on the basis of students’ and professors' successful internship experience, gained at AUCA's Law Clinic.  Law students protected the rights of residents in Bishkek. On the territory of a children’s playground, adjoining residential houses, a construction project for a new building was planned.  AUCA IBL students defended this case in the supreme court and the new building construction was forced to change sites.

The handbook is aimed to familiarize citizens with the basic rules regulating adjoining land in the Kyrgyz Republic.  The handbook was developed in a simple format with illustrations, step-by-step instructions, and application and document samples, which are necessary for developing effective strategies to protect homeowner rights.

“Legal Regulation of Houses Adjoining Land” Handbook consists of 5 chapters with main definitions, general information, and instructions, and the appendix of the list of state agencies and regulations.
