Career Fair 2022

On April 16th, the AUCA Development Office/Career Office organized one of the major events under the wings of the American University of Central Asia, the purpose of this special event was to connect the AUCA students and alumni with possible employers. At Career Fair 2022, 19 organizations were sponsored and 11 companies partnered with the event.

From the early morning, the number of people on the AUCA's campus front yard replenished with people, and the tents of the companies were filling up with representatives and career offers booklets. The event started with dynamic music and performances from AUCA students who revived the people on this Saturday morning. The official part of the event started with a welcoming speech from Dr. Bermet Tursunkulova, the Director of the AUCA Development Office, where she thanked all gathered partners, sponsors of the event, and students who came to develop their future careers also mentioned the respectful help from AUCA staff members, who helped to organize the Career Fair 2022.

After the welcoming speech, gathered participants of the event started exploring the exhibition of companies, moreover Career Fair brings not only representatives of various companies/organizations, but also stakeholders who can consult students about master’s programs.

Meanwhile, in the walls of the AUCA campus guest lectures were held by Aytekin Karakaya, the General Manager at Sheraton Bishkek, and Darika Ibraimova, the CEO of Asylbashev Creative the sessions were conducted in parallel to each other, so the participants could visit the hospitality session or acquaint with creative industry closer.

After the lunch break, students and alumni of AUCA contested the two creative games for the main price of 600$. The first interactive game was "Sales Start Contest" in which students should somehow sell the random stuff from the box to the jury, every participant used their all marketing and sales skills to win this competition. The second game was designed to enhance group cooperation capabilities. The purpose of the "Networker Contest" is to somehow get the attention of the partner companies who came to the Career Fair and get their sign for a partnership. After twenty minutes of intensive work, the whistle sounded at the end of the game, and the jury chose the winners, among whom they shared the main prize of 600$ according to the final scores of the two games.

This major event was full of joy and rich in activities, more than 400 people registered for the Career Fair, and 200 of them attended the the guest lectures. In the end of the official part, all gathered partner organizations, students, and staff of the AUCA took a memorial joint photo.
