UCA Library is happy to announce “My country – My flag” Instagram contest

Happy 30th anniversary of the Kyrgyz State Flag!

March 3rd is celebrated as the State Flag Day in Kyrgyzstan!

The state flag was approved by the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic on March 3, 1992. It is a red cloth with a golden disc of the sun in the center, embodying the tunduk of a yurt with 40 golden rays.

The flag was designed by Edil Aidarbekov, Bekbosun Zhaichybekov, Sabyr Iptarov, Zhusup Mataev, and Mamatbek Sydykov.

AUCA Library is happy to announce “My country – My flag” Instagram contest.

To participate please see the following:

• Follow auca_library on Instagram
• Take a photo with the Kyrgyztan’s flag in the background
• Post your photo on Instagram page with the #mycountry#myflag hashtags
• Share this post with your friends

Winner will be announced on Friday, March 4 at 3:00pm during the “My country – My flag” event in 330.

Join us at the event to learn about Kyrgyzstan’s and other countries’ flags, play Kahoot and get your prize!
