Pari Vatanshoeva is an AUCA Business administration student from Tajikistan who had experience in an exchange program and had a chance to extend her study in Poland. She believes that the AUCA exchange program will help her personal development and gain experience in a multicultural environment with people with different backgrounds, also it is a great opportunity to improve her skills and be successful in her future career goals because Poznan University of Economics and Business has great achievements in the economic field and would be a good addition to the study at AUCA.

Tell us about your experience in the exchange program?

“I have always been interested in exchange programs because I believe it is a great chance to self-develop and get out of my comfort zone. Self-development is about broadening my horizons and learning as many lessons as possible from people with different backgrounds. I believe that new possibilities are challenges, which will make me an outstanding person in my long-term goals. However, sometimes it gets really complicated to adapt to a new environment, but when I feel like it is getting difficult I understand that I have to overcome it, in order to be successful in my future career.”

What was the process of applying to the exchange program?

“I carefully examined given opportunities, when the application process was opened. I focused mainly on Poland as I had many positive recommendations on the country and the university. I was surprised by its achievements in the economic field and I decided that studying at this university can give me more in my field of study and be a good addition to the education that the American University of Central Asia gives me. After submitting letters of reference and motivation letter, in a month I received a reply from the Poznan University of Economics and Business.”

Tell us what impression the exchange program made on you?

“In general, my experience has been very positive. The professors are highly qualified and conduct interesting and informative lessons. I study mostly with international students, but also interact with Polish students who are always ready to support me in various issues. The city is beautiful, full of cultural events, which I personally enjoy, especially galleries and art exhibitions”
