Guest lecture by U.S. Embassy air quality science fellow Ryan Schmedding “Air Quality and Public Health: Science, Solutions and Lessons Learned from COVID-19”.
We invite everyone to the guest lecture by Ryan Schmedding, U.S. Embassy air quality science fellow. Ryan Schmedding will deliver a lecture on climate change and air quality and its health impacts.
The event is organized by AUCA, the Alliance of Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic for Green Economy and Sustainable Development (AVZUR), together with the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Ryan Schmedding, U.S. Embassy air quality science fellow, is a 3rd year PhD student in Atmospheric Science at McGill University studying the interactions between air pollution, weather, and climate change.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a major in environmental health science with a minor in chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also earned a Master of Science in environmental science and engineering from the University of North Carolina.
He has conducted research on air pollution and public health in North America and Ecuador.
In 2018, he was an intern with the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards at the US Environmental Protection Agency.
